What time is the 2026 NBA Draft? First-round order, top prospects and more

The Washington Wizards are on the clock.

A new group of exciting prospects are set to take the step from college basketball to the NBA when the 2026 draft gets underway.

Washington won the draft lottery with a 14% chance at claiming the first pick.

Trae Young and Anthony Davis are the main veterans, while Alex Sarr, Kyshawn George and Tre Johnson are among the young core.

Last year's draft saw Duke star Cooper Flagg easily go to the Dallas Mavericks to mark the post-Luka Doncic era.

Who are the top prospects in the 2026 NBA Draft? Though there is no clear-cut consensus, BYU forward AJ Dybantsa may have the highest ceiling due to his size, ball-handling and off-the-dribble playmaking.

He averaged 25.5 points in 34.8 minutes per game, posting a 51/33/77 shooting split to go with 6.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

Duke forward Cameron Boozer, son of former NBA veteran Carlos, is the top rival to go first.

The 6-foot-9 Boozer averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists on a 56/39/79 shooting split across 33.5 minutes.

He's more of a "stretch 4" profile than Dybantsa with more limited off-the-bounce abilities, but is still a solid addition for high-lottery teams.

Kansas guard Darryn Peterson is one of the more polarizing prospects.

The 6-foot-6 guard is a pure shooter and averaged 20.2 points on a 44/38/83 shooting split with low assist numbers, but the talent was evident.

However, there are many concerns about his attitude and work ethic having missed many key games.

Other top prospects include UNC forward Caleb Wilson, Louisville guard Mikel Brown Jr., Arkansas guard Darius Acuff Jr., Illinois guard Keaton Wagler and Houston guard Kingston Flemings, among others..
