With Week 8 in the books, the NFL season has moved into November, and the Minnesota Vikings are no longer undefeated. The team still leads the NFC North, but a road defeat to the Detroit Lions has ended their perfect start.
Following that performance, analysts have been reassessing the Vikings' standing. Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport published his Week 9 power rankings, placing the Vikings at No. 6 after the loss to Detroit.
The rest of the NFC North teams were ranked as follows: the Chicago Bears at No. 4, the Detroit Lions at No. 8, and the Green Bay Packers at No. 12.
Key Analysis
The Vikings' drop in the rankings reflects the impact of their first loss, but their overall standing remains strong. The Lions' victory over Minnesota propelled them to No. 8, while the Bears hold the highest spot among division rivals at No. 4. As the season progresses, these rankings will continue to shift based on weekly performances.
