Upper Deck Stature 2025-26: Legendary Autos and Rookie Patches Await Collectors

Upper Deck Stature 2025-26: Legendary Autos and Rookie Patches Await Collectors

In an era when high-end hockey card collecting has become increasingly complex—with a flood of products and endless variations—Stature has remained refreshingly straightforward, offering a clean and familiar aesthetic that stands apart. Since its introduction in 2019, Stature has consistently delivered thick, premium card stock, vibrant foil designs, and hard-signed autographs.

The product caters to both rainbow builders and autograph hunters, blending legends with emerging talents, and even offering the chance to pull a Rookie Patch Auto of a future superstar. Upper Deck has adjusted the lineup and configuration over the years, but for 2025-26, the recognizable look and the guarantee of a higher-end hit in every box remain unchanged.

Base Set Skips the Filler

Stature's 100-card base set avoids unnecessary inserts and instead focuses on a shimmering foil border that frames each player's image. The set is divided into 50 current NHL stars, 15 legends, and 35 rookies. Connor McDavid, the league's leading scorer who seems to add points every time you check, headlines the veteran checklist. Hall of Famers like Mario Lemieux and Joe Sakic highlight the legends group, with their base cards numbered to 999. The rookie class is led by Islanders defenseman Matthew Schaefer, coming off a historic Calder Trophy campaign, and Canadiens winger Ivan Demidov, whose deceptive moves and playmaking helped him lead all NHL freshmen with 62 points. Rookie base cards are also limited to 999.

Rainbow Parallels Add Excitement

Building a player rainbow is one of the most enjoyable—and sometimes frustrating—aspects of collecting. Stature offers seven color parallels to chase: Green (/349), Red (/249), Orange (/199), Blue (/99), Gold (/50), Purple (/25), and Black (/10). In a five-card box, collectors might find a Blue parallel of a first-year phenom like Beckett Sennecke or a Black parallel of an all-time great such as Sidney Crosby, numbered to just 10.

Autograph Rainbow Parallels

Rather than introducing a completely different design, Stature's autograph subset adds hard-signed signatures—no stickers—to the base-card designs. Standard autographs are unnumbered, while the seven colored parallels mirror the base rainbow structure, offering low-count signed versions of every player in the set. The numbered versions range from Green (/199) and Red (/99) to Orange (/50), Blue (/25), Gold (/10), Purple (/5), and Black (/3). This means collectors could pull a McDavid Purple Auto numbered to five or a Schaefer Black Auto rookie card limited to just three copies.

Game-Used Patch Cards

Stature also features memorabilia cards with game-worn material, even for first-year players. There are no manufactured patches, no tiny single-color swatches, and no replica jerseys. Standard patch cards are numbered to 49, with color parallels in more limited quantities: Green (/35), Red (/25), Orange (/15), Blue (/10), Gold (/5), Purple (/3), and Black (1/1).

Among the product's biggest potential hits are Autograph Patch parallels, which combine a signature with a multi-color swatch, making them some of the most stunning releases of the year. Imagine pulling a Red Auto Patch of Demidov, numbered to 25, where the parallel's border color perfectly matches the Canadiens' home jersey.

Top Hits from 2024 Stature

Last year's Stature set, which combined the 2023 and 2024 rookie classes, produced a pair of five-figure sales. Lane Hutson's Black RPA, graded PSA 7, sold for $12,064, while Connor Bedard's Update RPA fetched $10,370 at auction this spring. A three-color Red RPA parallel of new Sharks captain Macklin Celebrini, numbered to 25, sold for $7,114 in June, and a Blue version numbered to 10 came in just behind at $6,962.

Each single-pack box includes a Base veteran and a numbered Base Rookie or Legends card, plus two numbered parallels and one Autograph, Patch, or Patch Auto hit. So even if Schaefer or Demidov don't appear in a 2025-26 box, collectors won't walk away empty-handed.

Stature is scheduled to release on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
