Angelo Brizzi, a 6-foot-3 guard who has scored 878 points over four college seasons, is joining the North Carolina mens basketball program as a graduate transfer for the 2026-27 season, the school announced.
Brizzi is coming off a career year at the University of Buffalo, where he started every game and averaged 14.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists for a Bulls team that finished 17-15.
He averaged nearly 16 points in Mid-American Conference play, scored 20 or more points eight times and had a career-high 27 against UMass.
He shot 37.3% from 3-point range and ranked fifth in the MAC in made free throws (121) and fourth in free throw percentage (83.4%).

He has hit multiple 3-pointers in 26 games, including a single-game best of eight makes last season against South Alabama.
Brizzi began his college career at Villanova, redshirting in 2021-22 and appearing in nine games as a redshirt freshman.
He then had one-season stops at Davidson and Longwood before transferring to Buffalo for last season.
The Warrenton, Virginia, native announced his commitment to UNC earlier this month and will arrive in Chapel Hill as a graduate student.
