Schlittler tossed 7.1 innings and struck out a dozen batters, allowing just three hits without any walks against his record to further his Cy Young case, and the bullpen stepped into his shoes and kept the line moving.
Brent Headrick entered and allowed a single that loaded the bases in the eighth but averted a crisis by getting two-straight outs, and David Bednar worked a 1-2-3 ninth.
Now theyll look to take the series outright and perhaps start a little run, though we dont know who theyll be facing on the mound tonight.
