Rebilas-Imagn Images Three star edge rusher Elijah Cox committed to Ole Miss on Sunday after being pursued by Georgia Tech, Clemson and Mississippi State among others.

The 65 200 lbs.

do everything prospect out of Westlake HS (GA), which is a football factory, goes by the nickname Diesel and has had numerous official visits across the southeast and a ton of offers come in over the last several months.

His relationship with defensive coach Randall Joyner seemed to tip him in Ole Miss direction.

Looking at his junior highlights, you can see he has the quickness to compete at the next level, though he may need some time eating lots of steak and potatoes and drinking protein shakes to add a bit to his frame.

That being said, in one year, he could beef up in his senior year at Westlake, which has produced multiple NFL talents over the decades.

There is also a few other commits at this position giving Cox a chance to have a year or two in Oxford to develop or see if guys transfer out and give him an opportunity.

Cox is the 21st commit for the Ole Miss class of 2027, and across the largest recruiting sites, the Rebels are ranked in the top 15 consensus.
