Sandwiched between Victory Wembanyama and Cooper Flagg in draft classes, 2024 first-overall NBA Draft pick Zaccharie Risacher hasnt quite had the franchise-altering impact on the Atlanta Hawks as those two.
But now, as part of a three-team deal that brought Lu Dort to Atlanta from Oklahoma City, Risacher is getting a fresh start in Dallas with Flagg and new Mavericks head coach Dusty May.
The Frenchman is the third former first-overall pick on Dallas roster, joining not only Flagg but Kyrie Irving as well, who is expected to return to the court after missing the entirety of the 2025-26 season rehabbing a torn ACL.
Risacher is still just 21, and while he saw a dip in almost all of his stats from his rookie season, has occasionally flashed the potential that got the Hawks to use the top-pick in the draft on him.
