He finished his carer with 83 tackles, including 20 tackles for loss and 10 sacks.
As a senior, he made 30 total tackles in 12 games.
Jobity played some snaps at defensive end but was used 74% of the time at tackle last year.
His strength is as an interior pass rusher.
Pro Football Focus graded Jobity much better as a pass rusher (68.6) than as a run stopper (58.2) on the websites 100-point scale.
His pass-rush rating ranked 55th overall among FBS defensive linemen last season.
He was credited with 24 quarterback pressures, a total that tied for 39th.
At Syracuses pro day, he reportedly ran the 40-yard dash in 4.85 seconds, a time that wouldve tied for fifth among defensive tackles at the NFL Combine.
Jobity isnt a lifelong football player.
He played in middle school, chose to focus on other sports for a while and later returned to football as a high school senior, according to his hometown newspaper in Buffalo.
He received more than 20 Division I offers but Syracuse was the only school from a power conference.
2026 outlook: The Steelers signed Jobity as an undrafted free agent in early May.
The team entered last season with eight defensive linemen on the 53-man roster, so there might be room for a rookie who shines at training camp to win a spot or at least land on the practice squad.
The starters all return upfront with Cam Heyward, Derrick Harmon, Keeanu Benton and Yahya Black back for another year.
Seven-year pro Sebastian Joseph-Day was a key free agent addition wholl likely have a prominent rotational role.
The roster also has multiple depth options in Esezi Otomewo, Dean Lowry, Kyler Baugh and rookie sixth-round pick Gabriel Rubio.
If Jobity does stick on an NFL roster, he wouldnt be the only pro athlete in his family.
His father, Kevin Sr., was a 6-foot-9 forward/center who played college basketball at Niagara and later for a decade overseas in the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon.
