Spurs vs. Thunder Opening Night: TV Channel, Live Stream, Start Time and More

The NBA's opening night slate is packed with marquee matchups, and few are as enticing as the San Antonio Spurs hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. The two Western Conference powerhouses will collide at Frost Bank Center, rekindling a rivalry that reached a fever pitch just five months ago.

Their last encounter was a memorable seven-game Western Conference Finals series, capped by San Antonio's 111-103 Game 7 victory that sent the Spurs to the NBA Finals. Although San Antonio fell short in the championship round, the team appears primed to contend for the top spot in the West again in 2026-27. Oklahoma City, meanwhile, is equally optimistic, especially with Jalen Williams returning from an injury that sidelined him for much of the postseason. The Thunder also expect significant contributions from young talents Aday Mara, Thomas Sorber, and Bennett Stirtz, giving head coach Mark Daigneault plenty of reason for optimism.

How to Watch

Tuesday's game will be broadcast nationally on NBC, with Noah Eagle and Grant Hill on the call. DIRECTV will stream the game live and is offering a free trial to new subscribers. Additional streaming options include Fubo, which also provides a free trial, and Peacock.
