The Los Angeles Sparks parted ways with general manager Raegan Pebley on Sunday.
Pebley had held the position since January 2024 following more than two decades coaching women's college basketball.
The Sparks posted a 39-66 record under Pebley and currently sit at 10-11 this season.
Assistant general managers Zack Knowlton and Nate Nielsen, both hired during the 2026 offseason after lengthy NBA front-office careers, will take over her responsibilities.
"We are grateful to Raegan for her leadership and commitment to the Los Angeles Sparks and women's basketball," said Sparks managing partner and governor Eric Holoman.
"Her work on the Sparks' roster and player experience will have a lasting positive impact on our organization.
We sincerely thank her for all she has invested in the Sparks and wish her success in her next chapter." Pebley's tenure aimed to restore the franchise's historical success after three straight seasons outside the playoffs.
The Sparks remain without a postseason berth since 2020 and have just one lottery pick, Cameron Brink, to show from that stretch.
Pebley pursued several aggressive win-now trades during her time with Los Angeles.
The Sparks acquired two-time champion Kelsey Plum in a three-team deal that sent the No.
2 overall pick to Seattle, a selection that became Storm forward Dominique Malonga.
Malonga is averaging 15.8 points and 7.5 rebounds this season and will make her first All-Star appearance later this month.
This offseason, Pebley traded Rickea Jackson, the No.
4 pick in the 2024 draft, to the Chicago Sky for champion Ariel Atkins.
The two-time All-Star is averaging 8.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 19 games for Los Angeles this season.
Pebley also led the hiring of head coach Lynne Roberts after Curt Miller's firing in September 2024.
Roberts holds a 31-34 record as Sparks head coach.
Roberts addressed the front office change following the announcement.
"Raegan's a friend of mine, and I care about her," said Roberts.
"And this is the hard part in sports, right? But right now, I'm just focused on the team.".
