Sixers to reportedly have free agent interest in big man John Collins

Free agency in the NBA opens up at 6 p.m.

EDT on Tuesday evening and all 30 teams will be looking to add to their roster in an effort to bring home the Larry OBrien trophy in 2027.

The draft is over and teams are now lining up to hit the open market and build championship-level rosters.

The Philadelphia 76ers , led by Mike Gansey now as President of Basketball Operations, figure to be active.

They have the non-taxpayer mid-level exception that they can use to add to the roster in an effort to dethrone the defending champion New York Knicks.

It appears the Sixers are thinking big men in free agency.

After reported interest that they would look at Jock Landale in free agency, now Marc Stein reports via The Stein Line that Philadelphia will have interest in big man John Collins: Collins is also expected to draw interest from Orlando, San Antonio and Philadelphia once free agency begins.

The 76ers and Western Conference champion Spurs continue to get linked in free agency projections to the top forwards in the marketplace.

Collins averaged 13.6 points and shot 40.6% from deep for the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2025-26 season.

The Sixers can offer him somewhere around 4-years $60 million, which would use the entire NTPMLE and hard cap them at the first apron, but it remains to be seen how Gansey and Co.

will use their tools this offseason.

Either way, its obvious that Philadelphia will be looking to add more big men.
