Shaquille O'Neal Jokingly Thanks Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce for Not Inviting Him to MSG Wedding Shaquille O'Neal revealed that he was not invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, which took place on July 3 in New York City's Madison Square Garden.

Thanks, Travis," O'Neal jokingly said when People Magazine asked him if he got an invite a la his Inside the NBA co-panelist, Charles Barkley.

O'Neal did wish the couple all the best, though: "May it last forever." Roughly 1,000 guests attended the wedding, which was officiated by comedian and actor Adam Sandler.

Barkley was not one of them, and he explained why.

"I don't go to weddings or funerals," Barkley said on the "Unfiltered with Ricky Bo and Bill Colarulo" show on 97.5 The Fanatic (19:58 mark).

"But I did get an invite, and I politely declined because I thought it was going to be a crap show.

"I love [Travis and Jason Kelce], and I've only met Taylor one time, but yeah, I did get an invite.

But I said, hey you know what, that's just too much.

I just want to hang out and play golf, and I don't want to dress up and all that other stuff.

But I appreciate the invitation; it was pretty special.".
