Sewickley Academys Lucas Grimsley signed a letter of intent May 14 to continue his hoops career at Kenyon College, a private liberal arts institution in Gambier, Ohio, and a member of the NCAA Division III North Coast Athletic Conference.
Sewickley coach Mike Iuzzolino offered an interesting expectation for the 6-foot-5 Grimsley as a college student-athlete.
At the end of the day, make Kenyon a better place than when you got there just like you did Sewickley Academy, Iuzzolino said.
Grimsley was presented with the Coaches Award following the 2025-26 season.
He ended his high school career with 1,100 points in the gym and a 3.7 GPA in the classroom.
Grimsley is interested in business and wealth management and plans to major in finance in college.
The NCAC consists of Denison, DePauw, John Carroll, Kenyon, Oberlin College, Ohio Wesleyan, Wabash College, Wittenberg and The College of Wooster.
All-section picks Seven members of the Quaker Vallley girls lacrosse team were lauded as all-section selections following the 2026 season.
Seniors Lucy Roig (MF), QVs career leader in goals scored, Alexa Westwood (ATT/MF), the teams assist leader in 2026, and Meredith Fallgren (D/MF), who led the Quakers in caused turnovers, were first-team honorees as was sophomore ATT/MF Kate Miller, the team leader in goals scored last season.
Freshman ATT/MF Grace Keisel and junior Anabel Miko (ATT/D/MF) achieved second-team status while sophomore defender Molly Millet was an honorable mention selection.

The South Fayette girls repeated as the 5A champs to complete a 30-1 season after topping rival Archbishop Wood, 45-35.
And Greensburg Central Catholics girls won their second state championship with a 52-41 victory over Holy Redeemer in Class 3A.
Golden roll call Quaker Valleys Jonah Montagnese earned seven gold medals during the 2025-26 school year, including WPIAL and PIAA cross country titles and PIAA track event victories in the 1,600 and 3,200.
He also swept the three distance events at the WPIAL track championships.
That capped a special year for QV athletics.
In all, the Quakers won WPIAL titles in boys cross country, boys tennis and boys track and field, along with a PIAA team championship in boys track, plus PIHL Penguins Cup and Pennsylvania Cup crowns.
Tough D The Sewickley Academy softball team allowed just 47 runs during the 2026 season, an average of 3.3 runs per game.
