BAY CITY, MI --A look at how players from the MLive Bay City coverage area fared in collegiate softball during the 2026 season.
Nearly 30 area athletes competed in the college game this spring.
Division II DELANEY CONLEY, SVSU The former Gladwin ace made the most of her opportunities in the circle at Saginaw Valley State University.
The junior went undefeated with a 3-0 record.
She pitched 16.0 innings over eight appearances, striking out nine and posting a 2.19 ERA.
Conley was an MLive Bay City Dream Teamer for the Flying Gs in 2022.
GABBY CRUMM, SVSU A four-time state champion with Unionville-Sebewaing Area, Crumm saw limited action as a freshman for Saginaw Valley State University.
The catcher competed in four games for the Cardinals, going 2-for-5 at the plate with a double and an RBI.
Crumm was the 2024 MLive Bay City Player of the Year and a three-time Dream Team selection at USA.
SAYLAR CUTHRELL, NORTHWOOD Cuthrell saw action in seven games during her junior campaign for Northwood University.
The outfielder went 1-for-7 at the plate with one RBI.
She was a two-time MLive Bay City Dream Team pick for Cass City.

She batted .200 with three doubles and seven RBIs, swiping 14 bases as a senior.
Morse was a first-team all-GLIAC pick as a junior and earned All-American honors while at Lansing Community College.
She was a two-time MLive Bay City Dream Teamer as a 2022 Bay City Central graduate.
ELLA WAGNER, NORTHWOOD A three-time MLive Bay City Dream Teamer out of Essexville Garber, Wagner saw spot duty in 29 games for Northwood University this spring.
She batted .280 with a double and two RBIs.
Division III KACEE GRAY, ALMA One year after earning MLive Bay City Dream Team honors for Cass City, Gray found a role with Alma College.
The freshman entered 14 games, primarily as a pinch runner.
She scooted around the bases to score eight runs.
ABBIE HOFF, ADRIAN Hoff came up big for Adrian College in her senior campaign.
The left-handed slugger stepped in as a pitcher and posted a 4-2 record, striking out 25 batters in 39.2 innings of work.
She batted .374 at the plate, smacking nine doubles and two home runs.
She drew 25 walks for an on-base percentage of .500 and drove in 37 runs.
Hoff tallied 80 hits with 18 doubles and six home runs in her career, tallying 78 RBIs.
She walked 40 times and struck out just 19 times in four seasons.
The 2022 Bay City Western product was a two-time MLive Bay City Dream Teamer.
ELLA NEUMANN, KALAMAZOO A fixture in the Kalamazoo College lineup, Neumann started all 33 games as an infielder.
She batted .256 with two doubles, two home runs and 12 RBIs for her sophomore season.
Neumann was a key cog for the Unionville-Sebewaing softball dynasty as a 2024 graduate.
MORGAN RACHOW, OLIVET As a junior at Olivet University, Rachow saw action in 36 games.
She batted .162 with one double, one home run and one RBI.
She is a 2023 graduate of Ogemaw Heights.
NAIA/USCAA SARAH BASKET, LAWRENCE TECH The two-time MLive Bay City Player of the Year is continuing her successful ways at Lawrence Tech.
She doubles as the ace of the pitching staff and one of the teams top hitters.
The junior went 14-6 in the circle with a 3.12 ERA.
She fired 12 complete games with four shutouts, striking out 113 batters in 121.0 innings.
At the plate, she batted .325 with 12 doubles, three triples and four home runs, driving in 26 runs.
The 2023 Essexville Garber product was a three-time Dream Team selection.
LACI HARRIS, MADONNA After helping Unionville-Sebewaing Area to three state championships, Harris took it to the top once again at the collegiate level.
She helped Madonna University win it all at the NAIA National Championships.
The senior pitcher posted a 6-1 record with a 2.17 ERA, striking out 24 batters in 58.0 innings over 16 games.
She reached 20 wins and 100 strikeouts in her four-year career at Madonna.
Harris was a two-time MLive Bay City Dream Teamer as a 2022 USA grad.
PAIGE LIDDELL, CORNERSTONE The 2022 Ogemaw Heights graduate closed out her four-year collegiate career with Cornerstone University.
She played 26 games as an infielder during her senior year, batting .236 with four doubles and 12 RBIs.
She started 71 games in her career.
Liddell earned Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference all-academic honors and was named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
GABRIELLA MEZEY, AQUINAS The two-time MLive Bay City Dream Teamer from John Glenn got her feet wet as a freshman at the college level, playing in 17 games for Aquinas College.
She batted .174 with a double and three RBIs.
LEAH SCHUMANN, CLEARY Schumann got her first taste of collegiate action, playing in 26 games as a freshman at Cleary University.
She batted .143 with four RBIs.
Schumann earned MLive Bay City Dream Team honors last season at Bay City Western.
Junior College LAUREN BARANEK, DELTA COLLEGE Baranek earned playing time in her freshman season with Delta College, seeing action in 31 games.
The Bay City Central product batted .208 with a double, two RBIs and three stolen bases for the Pioneers.
ALISSA BRANDON, MID MICHIGAN Brandon was an instant impact-maker for Mid Michigan College.
The freshman out of Clare saw action in 31 games, batting .404 with 14 doubles and a triple.
She drove in 10 runs on the year.
TESSA CAMERON, MID MICHIGAN Cameron emerged as a two-pronged weapon for Mid Michigan College, serving as a strong pitcher and hitter.
The sophomore out of Clare posted a 5-8 record with 62 strikeouts in 101.1 innings in the circle.
She batted .268 with two triples, three home runs and 13 RBIs at the plate.
GABRIELLE CZUBA, SCHOOLCRAFT The sophomore out of Bay City Central got on the diamond for 21 games with Schoolcraft Community College.
She batted .294 with one double, one triple and nine RBIs.
GEENA GAUTHIER, DELTA COLLEGE The Pinconning alum came through with a big sophomore season for Delta College.
She batted .333 with 10 doubles, two triples and a home run.
She drove in 25 runs and swiped 10 bases.
In the pitching circle, she posted a 1.95 ERA with 176 strikeouts in 154.2 innings.
Gauthier was an MLive Bay City Dream Teamer as a Pinconning senior in 2024.
KORTNEY KOTENKO, DELTA COLLEGE A two-time MLive Bay City Dream Teamer while at Essexville Garber, Kotenko flashed those same skills at Delta College.
The sophomore catcher played in 43 games, coming up big with a .400 batting average, 12 doubles and 28 RBIs all tops on the team while also knocking two home runs.
ALIVIA KUKLA, LANSING The Bay City Central standout stepped right in at the front of the Lansing Community College pitching rotation.
She posted a 12-18 record with three saves and a 4.62 ERA.
The freshman notched 102 strikeouts in 201.2 innings.
She also batted .202 with 11 doubles and three home runs, tallying 20 RBIs.
Kukla was an MLive Bay City Dream Teamer as a senior at Central in 2025.
IZABEL LATHROM, DELTA COLLEGE A sophomore out of Essexville Garber, Lathrom was a key component for Delta College.
She saw action in 43 games, batting .289 with eight doubles and three home runs.
She tallied 20 RBIs and swiped 14 bases.
McKAYLA METHNER, DELTA COLLEGE The former Clare standout emerged as Delta Colleges top power threat during her sophomore season.
She bombed a team-high four home runs to go with seven doubles and a triple.
Methner batted .300 with 22 RBIs for the Pioneers.
ALAINA NEUBECKER, ALPENA The sophomore out of Ogemaw Heights delivered a productive campaign for Alpena Community College.
She played in 37 games, batting .378 with 18 RBIs.
She showed her punch with six doubles, two triples and three home runs.
KIRSTEN NEUBECKER, ALPENA The former Ogemaw Heights star kept putting up big numbers for Alpena Community College.
The sophomore batted .442 with 14 doubles and four home runs, leading her team in each category.
She also drove in 22 runs in 37 games.
Neubecker was a 2024 MLive Bay City Dream Teamer.
DAKOTA RACHOW, ALPENA Another key part of the Ogemaw Heights-to-Alpena connection, Rachow came through with a solid sophomore campaign.
She saw action in 37 contests, batting .298 with six doubles, three triples and three home runs.
She tallied 13 RBIs.
JOSIE SPENCER, MOTT The former Cass City standout delivered a banner year for Mott Community College.
The sophomore batted .336 with nine doubles, two triples and two home runs.
The sophomore tallied 30 RBIs while competing in 45 games.
GRACE ZWETZIG, DELTA COLLEGE The Essexville Garber product delivered a sensational freshman year at Delta College.
She led the Pioneers with four triples and 33 stolen bases, putting her speed to proper use.
She batted .372 with nine doubles and two home runs in 42 games of action.
Zwetzig earned MLive Bay City Dream Team honors in 2025.
