Week 6 of college football delivered its usual dose of chaos, and now the focus shifts to Week 7. The SEC has finalized the television arrangements for one of its marquee matchups.
Auburn will travel to Athens on Saturday, Oct. 17, to take on Georgia in the 131st installment of the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry. The game is set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN, the conference confirmed after Week 6 concluded.
Georgia enters the contest riding high. The Bulldogs are expected to ascend to the No. 1 spot in both the US LBM Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Poll following their victory over No. 7 Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night, combined with No. 1 Texas' surprising loss to unranked Oklahoma.
Auburn, meanwhile, is eager to end a nine-game skid against its longest-standing rival. The Tigers' last win in the series came in 2017, when they upset a Georgia team that was ranked No. 1 nationally.
