Real Madrid will look to reignite their La Liga campaign when they face Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday. Currently fourth in the table, Los Blancos have already suffered two defeats in their first seven matches of the 2026/27 season.
Their most recent setback came against city rivals Atletico Madrid, a 2-1 loss that left a bitter taste during the nearly three-week international break. The team now returns to club action with a crucial league fixture before turning their attention to the Champions League, where they will visit Roma on Wednesday under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, who returns to his former club.
