Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers will be hard-pressed to win a Super Bowl ring this season as the team is in rebuild mode, but at least he had a ring to give before the new season.
Bowers announced his engagement to his long-time girlfriend, Cameron Newell, via Instagram this week ahead of training camp.
The couple met in high school, where they grew up in Napa Valley, California.
Bowers went on to play college football at Georgia and became one of the top tight ends in the country and a highly sought-after draft pick.
The 6-foot-4 tight end helped the Bulldogs win two national championships as he caught 175 passes for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns in three seasons.
Newell wasn't far away during college, as she attended Tennessee, only a four-hour drive from Georgia.
She graduated in 2025, while Bowers moved on to the NFL as the No.
3 pick by the Raiders in 2024, but they made the cross-country distance work for a season.
Bowers has been a force for the Raiders in two seasons with 176 receptions for 1,874 yards and 12 touchdowns.
He earned Pro Bowl honors in both seasons, and he looks to do more in 2026.
With the engagement set, the Bowers and Newell have a major celebration to look forward to in the future.
The Raiders gave a fun nod to the couple's milestone with "the Bower of love" via an Instagram post that featured the couple's engagement photos.
In the meantime, Bowers will look to help the Raiders get on track in 2026 after the team took quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No.
1 pick in the draft out of Indiana.
Las Vegas has a steep climb ahead in the AFC West, however, with the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers all loaded for big seasons.
