Purdue has entered the recruitment race for Damian Mojica, a standout forward in the class of 2028. According to a report from Zach Smart of Rivals.com, the Boilermakers have extended a scholarship offer to the 6-foot-8 athlete.
Mojica is currently rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports' Composite Rankings, placing him at No. 94 overall in his class. The rising junior, who attends The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, New York, has also received offers from Syracuse, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Wake Forest, and other programs.
With this latest offer, Purdue has now extended scholarships to seven players in the 2027 recruiting class. The Boilermakers have also shown interest in several other top prospects, including four-star guards Tai Bell, Noah Washington, and Xavier Skipworth, four-star forward Cole Kelly, and five-star centers Erick Dampier Jr. and Dylan Betts.
Mojica had an impressive summer on the Nike EYBL circuit with the PSA Cardinals, averaging 15.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, according to Stockrisers.com. He also connected on 37% of his three-point attempts, showcasing his ability to stretch the floor.
