Predators Pay Tribute to Dolly Parton with Special Jerseys and Saros Mask

When the Nashville Predators face the St. Louis Blues, the team will celebrate one of Music City's most iconic figures. The Predators' Hometown Remix jerseys will include a special patch commemorating Grammy-winning artist Dolly Parton, who passed away earlier this year.

The patch features a gold butterfly outlined in navy. Parton frequently used the butterfly as a personal symbol after her 1974 hit 'Love is Like a Butterfly.' In addition, each player's jersey will have 'Dolly' on the nameplate above the number during pregame warmups.

Goaltender Juuse Saros is also getting in on the tribute with a new Hometown Remix mask designed to honor Parton. The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game through the Nashville Predators Foundation, with all proceeds going to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

A Tennessee native, Parton amassed 11 Grammy Awards and three Emmy Awards while selling more than 100 million records over her legendary career. Her Dollywood Foundation has distributed millions of children's books worldwide.

Nashville Predators CEO Sean Henry expressed the team's enthusiasm: 'It is an incredible honor for us to celebrate Dolly Parton this Saturday with a specialty patch on our Hometown Remix jerseys. When working on the design for our jerseys, Dolly was one of our inspirations, given her legacy and how she was a trailblazer for so many in the country music industry. We are thrilled to honor her and grateful to give back to both Monroe Carell and her Imagination Library, an organization that has and continues to support so many not only in Tennessee, but around the world.'

The NHL unveiled all 32 Hometown Remix jerseys on Monday. Each jersey is designed to highlight something unique about its respective franchise, and the Predators will wear their Hometown Remix jerseys in 10 games during the 2026-27 season.

Key Analysis

The Predators' tribute to Dolly Parton goes beyond a simple patch, incorporating her signature butterfly motif and nameplate recognition. By auctioning the jerseys for charity, the team underscores its commitment to Parton's philanthropic legacy, particularly her Imagination Library and local children's hospital. The initiative also aligns with the NHL's broader Hometown Remix program, which aims to celebrate the distinct cultural identity of each market.
