Patriots Week 3 Injury Report: Carlton Davis Returns, Dell Pettus to IR

The New England Patriots have unveiled their first injury report in preparation for their Week 3 clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Following their Week 2 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Patriots have faced a challenging week regarding player health.

Head coach Mike Vrabel informed the media that safety Dell Pettus has been placed on injured reserve.

Safety Craig Woodson, rookie edge rusher Quintayvious Hutchins, and veteran pass rusher Dre'Mont Jones were all absent from Wednesday's practice.

On a positive note for New England, veteran cornerback Carlton Davis III made his return and was a full participant, which is a promising sign for his availability against the Jaguars.

Special teams standout Brenden Schooler also returned to practice on a limited basis. He began the season on the non-football injury list and appears to be closing in on a comeback.
