Packers' Micah Parsons Nearing November Comeback, Thanksgiving Eve vs. Rams Eyed

The Green Bay Packers may soon welcome back Micah Parsons to their active roster. The standout pass rusher, who has been rehabilitating a knee injury, is reportedly nearing his first game action of the 2026 campaign, and a specific matchup has surfaced as a potential return date.

According to Tom Pelissero of The Ringer, Parsons is anticipated to rejoin practice next week and suit up in November, with Thanksgiving Eve against the Los Angeles Rams emerging as the most probable comeback game. Pelissero shared the update in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

Green Bay originally acquired Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys in August 2025 and subsequently inked him to a four-year, $188 million contract, a record-setting deal for a defensive player. The move paid immediate dividends, as Parsons racked up 12.5 sacks over 14 games in his first season with the Packers.

However, his 2025 campaign was cut short when he suffered a torn ACL in a December game against the Denver Broncos. The injury forced him to sit out Green Bay's playoff loss to the Chicago Bears.

Key Analysis

Even without Parsons in the lineup, the Packers have generated consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks this season. Green Bay currently leads the NFL with 22 sacks, including six in a 27-19 Thursday night win over the Carolina Panthers and quarterback Bryce Young.

Parsons' eventual return would provide another significant weapon for a defense that has flourished under new coordinator Jonathan Gannon. The unit has been disruptive, topping the league with 22 sacks and 10 interceptions.

Before a potential Parsons return against the Rams on Thanksgiving Eve, the 5-3 Packers face two challenging opponents. Green Bay first travels to Foxborough to take on the New England Patriots, then returns to Lambeau Field for a divisional matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, the NFL's only remaining undefeated team.
