The Green Bay Packers typically conduct player workouts on Tuesdays, their designated off day, but this week they got a head start by hosting three defensive prospects on Monday, according to the NFL transaction wire. Cornerbacks Miles Battle and Elijah Culp, along with defensive lineman Isaiah Iton, were brought in for evaluations.
Miles Battle, CB
Battle entered the league as an undrafted free agent and has spent the past three seasons with three different organizations: the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, and most recently the Miami Dolphins. The former wide receiver transitioned to cornerback during his second year at Ole Miss before finishing his college career at Utah. In the NFL, he has appeared in six regular-season games, all with the Patriots, logging 47 defensive snaps and 56 special teams snaps. Since being released by Miami, Battle has worked out for the Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Buffalo Bills.
Elijah Culp, CB
Culp is an undrafted rookie who played for four different college programs over six seasons: Austin Peay, Troy, Charlotte, and James Madison. He initially signed with the Arizona Cardinals, who are coached by Matt LaFleur's brother, before joining the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad in late September. The Colts released him last week, and he had previously worked out for the New York Giants before signing with Indianapolis.
Isaiah Iton, DL
Iton is a well-traveled defensive lineman who just turned 25 years old. He has played at four colleges (Northern Colorado, Hutchinson Community College, Ole Miss, and Rutgers) and spent time with the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots. An undersized defensive lineman, he was waived with an injury designation by the Patriots each of the last two summers. In 2025, New England waived him with a hip injury. In July, the Patriots re-signed him, only to waive him again with an injury settlement in 2026. This appears to be Iton's first visit since being let go by New England. At 277 pounds, he is considered undersized, and like Culp, he has yet to play in an NFL regular-season game.
