Detroit Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler, a Massillon, Ohio, native, was recently named to his first MLB All-Star team.
Dingler is the first former Buckeye to be named an All-Star in 16 years.
The last was Nick Swisher in 2010.Through 83 games, Dingler has posted career bests with 19 home runs, 60 RBIs, 19 doubles and two triples.
The All-Star Game is set for July 14 on FOX 28 at 8 p.m.
The Tigers host the Athletics at 6:40 p.m.
