The Green Bay Packers have all but taken over the Steel City, as Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy reunited in Pittsburgh with the Steelers for the 2026 season.
And one NFL legend has said the quiet part out loud about their influence on the new offense in Pittsburgh.
On a new episode of his 89 podcast, NFL legend Steve Smith Sr.
compared the McCarthy- and Rodgers-led Steelers to the successful Packers ' offenses of the past.
DK Metcalf is their Davante Adams, Smith said via his podcast.

Remember when Davante Adams first got there? It was like, this kid can really move.

Smith concluded that fourth-year receiver Roman Wilson doesnt necessarily fit the Green Bay mold before comparing a rookie wideout to a Packers legend.

Hes a rotational deep-threat guy.

Hes going to do things, sudden movement, create a little bit of YAC.

Smith all but said the quiet part out loud about McCarthys Steelers having a Packers-esque feel on offense, one that Rodgers should feel at home in heading into his final NFL season.
