Navy's Jackson Gutierrez Surges to QB1 in Week 10 College Fantasy Football Rankings

North Texas running back Jahiem White remains the No. 1 option in the Week 10 college fantasy football rankings, thanks to a 193-yard, two-touchdown performance against Florida Atlantic. White, a former West Virginia standout, has now scored in all eight games since transferring and has eclipsed 100 rushing yards in five consecutive contests. He carried the ball 26 times in the 48-41 victory, including a 59-yard touchdown scamper in the second quarter. Despite the impressive numbers, North Texas coach Neal Brown noted, "I thought Jahiem was careless with the ball." White and the Mean Green will next face a Rice defense that surrenders 175.0 rushing yards per game, ranking 109th in the FBS.

Florida Atlantic wide receiver Easton Messer climbed from FLEX4 to FLEX2 after a school-record 16 receptions for 189 yards and three touchdowns in the loss to North Texas. Messer, a fifth-year player, has now scored eight touchdowns in his last eight quarters and has totaled 74 catches for 898 yards and nine scores this season. The Owls will host UTSA on Thursday, and with their defense allowing 35.8 points per game, Messer should continue to see heavy targets. "We tried everything on Messer," Brown admitted.

Duke running back Nate Sheppard holds the FLEX3 position after setting a single-game school record with five rushing touchdowns in a 47-2 rout of Boston College. Sheppard ran 20 times for 97 yards and now owns Duke's single-season record with 18 total touchdowns. "To be able to do that is a lot of credit to those guys up front," Sheppard said of his offensive linemen. Boise State's Dylan Riley jumped from FLEX13 to FLEX4 and will face a Colorado State defense that ranks last in the FBS in both rushing yards allowed (261.1 per game) and points allowed (42.4 per game). Riley has accumulated 1,049 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on 165 carries.

Oregon State's Jesse Legree holds FLEX5, followed by Oklahoma State's Caleb Hawkins and North Texas receiver Justin Stevenson. Boise State freshman Rasean Jones made the week's biggest leap, from FLEX65 to FLEX8, while Miami's Malachi Toney dropped from FLEX2 to FLEX15 ahead of a trip to Notre Dame.

Quarterback Rankings: Gutierrez Takes Over Top Spot

Navy's Jackson Gutierrez vaulted 29 spots to claim the QB1 ranking after rushing 28 times for 110 yards and a touchdown in a 35-13 loss to Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish entered the game allowing just 67.3 rushing yards per game, but Gutierrez surpassed that total before halftime. The junior has now run for a touchdown in four straight games and boasts 979 rushing yards and 13 scores this season. He faces a Temple defense that is 2-6 and ranks 124th in ESPN's defensive efficiency rating.

Louisville's Lincoln Kienholz slipped from QB1 to QB2 despite throwing for 250 yards and two touchdowns and adding another score on the ground in a 52-24 win over Stanford. The Ohio State transfer has produced three touchdowns in a game five times this season. Georgia Tech, his next opponent, has allowed 39 points per game during its three-game losing streak. Houston's Conner Weigman debuts at QB3 after the Cougars' bye week; the Cypress, Texas, native has thrown for 2,053 yards, 20 touchdowns and two interceptions while adding 249 rushing yards and six scores. Utah held him without a touchdown in a 21-13 loss before the bye, and PaperCity reported he left the stadium in a walking boot after a limited week of practice.

Oregon State's Braden Atkinson moved from QB7 to QB4. He has thrown for at least 300 yards in all eight games, breaking Sean Mannion's school record, and Texas State allows 295.4 passing yards per game, ranking 137th nationally. Texas State's Brad Jackson climbed from QB11 to QB5 after throwing for 327 yards and accounting for five touchdowns in a 46-45 loss at Boise State.

Running Back Rankings: White and Sheppard Lead the Way

Jahiem White and Nate Sheppard hold the top two spots in the running back rankings, while Boise State's Dylan Riley jumped from RB7 to RB3 for his matchup with Colorado State. Oklahoma State's Caleb Hawkins moved from RB5 to RB4 ahead of a game at Kansas State. Louisville's Isaac Brown climbed from RB14 to RB5 after rushing for 139 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, and catching an 18-yard touchdown pass against Stanford. Georgia Tech ranks last in the ACC in rushing defense.

UTSA's Will Henderson lands at RB10, and teammate A'Marion Peterson debuts at RB13. Florida Atlantic allows 256.0 rushing yards per game, second-worst in the FBS, so both Roadrunners backs hold value on Thursday. Missouri's Jamal Roberts dropped from RB3 to RB34 against Texas, and Southern Miss' Steven Robinson fell from RB4 to RB38 against James Madison.

Wide Receiver Rankings: Messer Ascends to No. 1

Easton Messer climbed from WR2 to WR1 after breaking his own program record for receptions in a game. He has scored eight touchdowns across his last eight quarters and has 74 catches for 898 yards and nine scores this season. Oregon State's Jesse Legree moved from WR3 to WR2 despite a quiet night; Fresno State held the Baltimore native to seven catches for 70 yards in a 38-22 loss, his first game this season without 100 receiving yards or a touchdown. He still has 1,110 yards and 14 touchdown catches, and the Texas State secondary ranks 137th against the pass.

North Texas's Justin Stevenson slides in at WR3, and Boise State's Rasean Jones jumped from WR39 to WR4 after catching nine passes for 117 yards and three touchdowns against Texas State. The freshman became the first player in the conference this season to earn Pac-12 Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week honors in the same week. Maryland's Chris Durr moved from WR12 to WR5 at Purdue. Miami's Malachi Toney fell from WR1 to WR8 even after catching seven passes for two touchdowns in a 38-35 win at North Carolina, because Notre Dame entered last week leading the nation in yards allowed per game.

Tight End Rankings: Thurman Takes Over

North Carolina's Jelani Thurman moved from TE4 to TE1 after catching five passes for 70 yards and two touchdowns against Miami. Both scores came from 8 yards out on throws from Billy Edwards Jr., who passed for a season-high 341 yards and four touchdowns. The Tar Heels visit UConn. Houston's Patrick Overmyer debuts at TE2 after the bye. Oregon State's Eric Olsen climbs from TE6 to TE3 against Texas State, and Boise State's Matt Wagner moves from TE7 to TE4 at Colorado State. Louisiana Tech's Eli Finley drops from TE1 to TE6 at Troy.

Team Offense and Defense Rankings

Wake Forest leads the team offense rankings against Merrimack, an FCS independent. The Demon Deacons beat Virginia 51-7 last week as Gio Lopez threw for 229 yards and Carlos Hernandez caught passes for 136 yards, and Wake Forest has won its last 20 games against FCS opponents dating back to 2000. Boise State ranks second at Colorado State, which allows 42.4 points per game. Louisville holds third at Georgia Tech after putting up 545 yards against Stanford.

Wake Forest also leads the team defense rankings against Merrimack. UCLA moves from fourth to second at Minnesota after a 27-0 shutout of Nevada pushed the Bruins to 8-0 for the first time since 2005. UCLA allows a Big Ten-best 14.6 points per game in conference play, while Minnesota ranks 14th in the league at 17.8 points per conference game. Texas climbs from ninth to third at Missouri. The Longhorns rank No. 1 nationally in ESPN's defensive efficiency rating, and that unit is the reason Roberts fell 31 spots in the running back rankings.
