The New York Mets made a roster adjustment on Thursday, sending right-handed pitcher Jonathan Pintaro back to Triple-A Syracuse. The move came as the team continued its four-game set against the Miami Marlins at Citi Field, following a brief weather delay.
Pintaro, 28, had been called up to the major league roster just a day earlier to serve as an extra arm for Wednesday's doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves. According to MLB.com's transactions tracker, the Mets officially optioned him to Syracuse on Thursday.
This season has been a revolving door for Pintaro, who has now been sent down to the minors four times. With roughly two months remaining in the regular season, further roster moves involving the right-hander are likely.

Pintaro made his MLB debut with the Mets in June 2025. Over his big-league career, he has logged 13 innings, posting a 6.23 ERA and recording 13 strikeouts. In the minors this year, he has been more effective, compiling a 4.03 ERA with 42 strikeouts across 38 innings for Syracuse.
