Mahomes Eclipses Manning for Most 3-TD Games in First 10 Seasons

In the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 8 defeat to the Denver Broncos, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes moved past legendary passer Peyton Manning on a prominent all-time NFL quarterback leaderboard.

Mahomes's standout performance against Denver gave him sole possession of the league record for three-touchdown games within a quarterback's first 10 seasons. He had been tied with Manning at 48 such games before breaking the tie.

Against the Broncos, Mahomes completed 30 of 41 passes for 321 yards and three touchdowns. He did not throw an interception and added six rushing yards on two attempts.

Although Mahomes's strong outing did not propel the Chiefs to a win over Denver, the two-time MVP will aim to build on his Week 8 momentum when Kansas City hosts the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium on November 9 in an AFC matchup.
