LeBron Jamess houses are fit for an NBA legend, and with each passing year, he further cements his status as such.
The Ohio native is a free agent for the first time since 2018 and recently announced he wont be returning to play for the Lakers next season.
It wont be a surprise, then, if James soon swaps his Los Angeles home for one in the city of his future team; only time will tell where the baller lands next.
While we wait to see where King James takes his talents for the 20262027 season, heres a rundown on all the places that he has called home, from Miami to Beverly Hills and all the way back to his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
Akron starter home Jamess accumulation of real estate began around the same time that his basketball career did.
Shortly after the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him as the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, he reportedly paid $2.1 million for a Bath Township property just northwest of Akron.
The then-18-year-old built a 30,000-square-foot mansion on the land, completed in 2007.
Presently, the property features six bedrooms, eight full and six half bathrooms, as well as a recording studio, a movie theater, an aquarium, a barbershop, a two-lane bowling alley, and a sports bar.
The primary suite even features a two-story walk-in closet.
In 2006, he picked up an adjacent parcel for $425,000.
That five-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom abode is accessible to the main house via a long driveway.
Six years later, an LLC linked to James bought another nearby home for $220,000; Realtor.com speculates that that three-bedroom dwelling, about a quarter-mile away, was for his mother, Gloria.
James still owns the compound, and its now reportedly worth around $9.2 million.
Its a far cry from the apartment complex where he lived with his mother for much of his childhood, a place just west of downtown Akron known as Spring Hill, where he hung posters of Michael Jordan, Deion Sanders, Allen Iverson, and Kobe Bryant on his wall.
Contemporary Miami mansion The power forward sent shock waves through the sports world when he left the Cavaliers in 2010 to sign on with the Miami Heat as a free agent.
He secured his living situation there shortly after the decision, paying $9 million for a custom-built, three-story mansion in Coconut Grove, Florida, that November.
The six-bedroom waterfront home was made for entertaining, with an eight-seat home theater, a wine cellar, a game room with billiards and poker tables, a backyard pool area with a multicolored LED lighting system and a swim-up bar, and a private waterside balcony off the primary suite.
There was also a separate guesthouse situated atop a three-car garage and a dock that could accommodate two 60-foot boats.
James listed the 12,178-square-foot mansion for $17 million in 2014, and it sold for $13.4 million the following year.
First Brentwood pad The all-star athlete married his childhood sweetheart, Savannah Brinson, in 2013 and returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014.
By the time James reunited with the Cavs, he was ready to expand his real estate reach to the West Coast.
He snapped up a 9,440-square-foot white brick and stone colonial mansion for $21 million in 2015.
The dwelling featured six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a double-height foyer, a wood-paneled office, and a home gym.
In the backyard, there was an infinity-edge swimming pool that spanned nearly the width of the house, a handful of patios, and a basketball court next to a three-car garage.
James listed the home for $20.5 million in early 2021 and sold it for a slight loss at $19.6 million that September.
Second Brentwood residence James added to his Brentwood holdings with the purchase of a $23.5 million spec mansion in late 2017, just ahead of his decision to play for the LA Lakers the following year.
The luxurious pad boasts eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, with high-end amenities like a wine cellar with space for 1,500 bottles, a theater, a cigar room with air-purifying technology, and an onyx bar.
Appropriately, the athlete also has a top-of-the-line gym for staying in shape during the off-season.
Built with an indoor-outdoor flow, the gym is directly linked to a spa with a steam room, shower, sauna, and massage room.
Outdoors, covered patios feature marble floors, and a rooftop terrace reachable via elevator offers stunning views.
James currently considers this his primary residence.
In 2022, a Vanity Fair photo shoot offered a rare peek of the property, revealing a white-walled formal dining room lined with stately millwork and a large-scale painting by Kareem-Anthony Ferreira, a rectangular swimming pool with a connected spa, and swaths of luxe white marble throughout.
Beverly Hills compound In 2020, just months into the pandemic, the Lakers star picked up a 13,000-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion for $36.8 million.
The celeb-pedigreed pad boasts Hugh Hefner and Katharine Hepburn as previous owners.
James reportedly bought it from soap opera legend Lee Phillip Bell, who co-created The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.
The 1930s Mediterranean-style compound, situated on a 2.5-acre plot, came equipped with a screening room, a lighted tennis court, and a poolhouse with two bathrooms.
For optimal indoor-outdoor flow to the four-bedroom main house, the family added entire walls of glass sliders.
Other renovations include the addition of numerous skylights and indoor fountains.
In June 2023, however, James decided to raze the entire existing structure to build his dream home rather than continue to renovate the property bit by bit.
In the years since, construction has been underway, and photos of the modern home-in-progress reveal a multistory compound with what appears to be a large detached guesthouse.
According to Realtor.com, James submitted planning applications to divide the property into two separate plots, each with their own mansion connected by a shared driveway.
The larger of the two will clock in at a massive 16,000 square feet across two stories, plus a 7,700-square-foot basement garage.
That home will reportedly also have a ground level garage that spans two levels, a backyard swimming pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen, and solar panels.
The other house will be a single-story structure with 6,550 square feet of interior living space, souped up with numerous entertainment and wellness amenities, including a basement movie theater, a sprawling terrace, hot and cold plunge pools, and a courtyard studded with palm trees.
A large motor court connects the homes, which are protected by a guard-gated entrance and enclosed with 10-foot-high fencing.
The homes appear to be nearing completion, according to a recent report from the New York Post.
