LeBron James to the Spurs is still a real possibility

Just imagine for a moment that LeBron James had been on the San Antonio Spurs' team last season that got to the NBA Finals.

In that scenario, it's very possible the team would have beaten the New York Knicks.

It's not a given but certainly a real possibility.

James and Victor Wembanyama on the same team together would be dynamite.

It's something Spurs fans would get a kick out of, to say the least.

But, after the Spurs signed former Detroit Pistons player Tobias Harris to a two-year deal, it seemed that the James to Spurs dream had died.

Or, has it? The latest in the James saga points to the player still possibly coming to the Spurs to help them get back to the NBA Finals and, this time, bring home a championship.

LeBron James gets a voice memo from Luke Kornet On Friday, Polymarket Hoops shared a hilarious voice memo from Luke Kornet to James, asking him to join the team.

"Mr.

James, it's Luke Kornet," he says in the message.

"You can play alongside a generational player (in myself), Victor, too.

We have SeaWorld, La Panaderia, it's bussing.

You're chasing No.

5.

We have five.

We're chasing six.

Around the same ballpark..

Give me a call." The audio also made its way onto YouTube.

Now, is Kornet really trying to get James to come to San Antonio with this plea? Who knows, but it's safe to say that most teams wouldn't be mad about getting The King on their roster.

A more solid reason to have hope for the Spurs to get James is because San Antonio was listed on James' agent Rich Paul's "10 realistic destinations" whiteboard on an episode of his "Game Over" podcast.

The Spurs made the cut, so it's not over until it's over.
