Following the Philadelphia 76ers' scrimmage on Saturday, LeBron James opted for a swift and stylish mode of transportation. According to TMZ Sports, James departed the Philadelphia area by helicopter, making the roughly 45-minute journey to New York City after the team's practice session.
Photographs of the helicopter were taken, drawing attention to James's travel habits. The four-time NBA champion is dividing his time between Philadelphia and New York after signing with the 76ers, and his helicopter use had already sparked conversation following Tuesday's practice.
Reflecting on Saturday's scrimmage, James shared with reporters, "To be able to take what we've done on the practice floor, bring it to a game floor situation around our fans .. it was a great first step in the direction we're trying to go."
As he embarks on his first season with the 76ers, James will remain under intense scrutiny. It seems fitting that the team's preseason opener on Monday is against the New York Knicks, given his commuting routine between the two cities.
