LaMelo Ball's Daily Praise for Trey Lyles After Timberwolves Win Over Bucks

The Minnesota Timberwolves got back to winning ways on Monday night with a 112-100 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, and LaMelo Ball once again led the charge for the Wolves, though he received valuable support from his teammates.

Trey Lyles delivered a strong performance off the bench, and after the game, Ball was quick to sing his praises for the 30-year-old forward.

Ball's High Praise for Lyles

Lyles, who joined the Timberwolves in July and has appeared in every game this season, has shown he can contribute whenever called upon despite not being a starter. Against the Bucks, he posted 12 points and four rebounds in 21 minutes, making him the highest-scoring substitute for Minnesota.

Ball expressed his admiration for Lyles, revealing that he tells him every day that he is among the few players who truly understand the game. "I love Trey. He knows how to play basketball. I tell him that every day, like, 'Oh yeah, you're one of them ones who knows how to play basketball!' Whenever he's out there on the floor, he just really makes it easy," Ball told reporters after the game, as per Dane Moore on X.

Timberwolves Need Contributions

With Anthony Edwards expected to be sidelined for around two months, the Timberwolves need every player on the roster to step up and fill the void. Lyles' contribution against the Bucks was certainly helpful, and the Wolves will be hoping for more of the same from him in the coming games.
