The Tahoe Knight Monsters captain for the 2025-26 season announced he wont be back next winter.
Luke Adam is hanging up the skates once and for all after a 16-year career in professional hockey.
Adam was originally drafted in the second round in 2008 by the Buffalo Sabres and played 90 games in the NHL in his career.
He spent another 342 games playing in the AHL and recorded eight seasons overseas in Germany, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Adam leaves as the Knight Monsters all-time appearances leader, with 139 games played.
We cant thank Luke enough for his contributions on and off the ice in getting the Knight Monsters franchise started, said Tahoe head coach Alex Loh in a news release.
He has been an integral part of the success of our team in the first two seasons.
Luke set a high standard for being a captain of the Knight Monsters.
