Kaprizov's Four-Point Night Powers Wild Past Sharks; Ducks, Sabres Also Win

In Saint Paul, Minn., on Friday night, Kirill Kaprizov registered his NHL-leading 16th goal and set up all three other Minnesota markers as the Wild defeated the San Jose Sharks 4-1. Kaprizov extended his point streak to seven games, accumulating 13 points (five goals, eight assists) over that span.

Quinn Hughes contributed a goal and two assists for the Wild, who have now won three consecutive games and six of their last seven. Maxim Shabanov and Zach Bogosian also found the net, while Jesper Wallstedt turned aside 23 shots as Minnesota remained unbeaten in regulation at home (5-0-1).

Macklin Celebrini scored the lone goal for the Sharks, who have dropped four straight and have been held to two or fewer goals in each of those contests. Yaroslav Askarov made 25 saves in the loss.

Ducks 5, Flames 3

Cutter Gauthier broke a tie late in the third period, lifting the visiting Anaheim Ducks to a come-from-behind win over the Calgary Flames. Leo Carlsson added a goal and an assist, while Jeff Malott, Tristan Luneau and Nikita Nesterenko also scored for the Ducks, who have won four in a row and are 5-1-1 in their last seven. Anaheim scored four unanswered goals to finish the game and complete a perfect three-game road trip.

William Stromgren, Joel Hanley and Joel Farabee scored for Calgary. Morgan Frost chipped in two assists, and goalie Dustin Wolf made 24 saves.

Sabres 5, Blue Jackets 2

Josh Norris scored twice and Owen Power added three assists as the Buffalo Sabres broke out of a home scoring slump to beat the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets. The Sabres have won four of their last five games. Friday's offensive explosion was a welcome sight for a team that had managed just 15 goals in its previous seven home contests.

Jack Quinn contributed a goal and an assist, and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 24 of 26 shots to earn his fifth win in 11 games. Jet Greaves made 32 saves on 37 shots for the Blue Jackets, who fell to 1-5-0 on the road. Kent Johnson had a goal and an assist, and Zach Werenski also scored for Columbus. Johnson has 11 points (four goals, seven assists) during a seven-game point streak.
