Another NBA player has placed his San Antonio residence on the market, but this particular property was never home to a Spurs player. New York Knicks guard Jordan Clarkson is selling his Dominion estate for $7.5 million.
Given the Knicks' recent finals disappointment, perhaps a change of scenery is for the best. Having a Knick situated in Spurs territory might seem as improbable as a Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's court. However, Clarkson, a free agent, has deep roots in the Alamo City.
His parents, both Air Force members, relocated to San Antonio when he was six years old. He later earned San Antonio High School Player of the Year honors while attending Karen Wagner High School.
The expansive five-bedroom, seven-bath mansion, listed by Janay Bankston of Barlowe Daly Realty, naturally includes features tailored to a professional athlete. Photographs reveal custom closets with shelving for caps and an extensive sneaker collection. The property also offers a private gym and a half basketball court.
For relaxation, Clarkson could enjoy a jacuzzi, sip Champagne in a wine lounge, or watch Space Jam in a theater room with stadium seating. Additional high-end amenities include a four-car garage and an elevator for those days after too many line sprints.
Outside, resort-style landscaping surrounds an infinity pool deck equipped with an Italian pizza oven. A detached casita with its own bar provides guests privacy and easy access to a quick dip.
While the home predominantly features neutral grays and whites, the listing offers glimpses of Clarkson's personality. A vibrant blue stove sits in the marble island, an oversized Swatch hangs near the living room, and one room boasts a funky purple shag rug. Another rug displays a mischievous Pokémon.
Prospective buyers must schedule a showing at least 24 hours in advance. Inquiries can be made through Realtor.com. There is no word on whether the numerous lanterns scattered throughout the living areas are included in the sale.
