Jon Rahm has no intention of competing in the revamped LIV Golf league for the 2027 season, according to a statement released Wednesday by his representation to The Athletic's Gabby Herzig.
In the statement, Rahm's team explained that the golfer personally examined the proposed conditions for LIV 2.0 and found them unsatisfactory. "Mr. Rahm has independently reviewed the proposed terms of LIV 2.0 and has determined that those terms are unacceptable to him, and he will not be participating going forward in LIV 2.0," the representation said, per Herzig.
The development unfolds against the backdrop of LIV Golf's bankruptcy filing on September 8. Since then, the league has announced intentions to introduce a new iteration called LIV 2.0.
