Joe Burrow Cleared to Start for Bengals in Week 2; Tua Tagovailoa Inactive Again

Before Sunday's NFL matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Houston Texans, Bengals fans received encouraging news regarding star quarterback Joe Burrow. Despite being listed as questionable due to back tightness, Burrow is officially active and will start as Cincinnati aims to improve to 2-0.

Several other players are also active for the early slate of games, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave, Baltimore Ravens pass rusher Trey Hendrickson, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan are all set to play in the 1 p.m. ET contests.

However, the Atlanta Falcons will once again be without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is inactive. As a result, Cooper Rush will make his second straight start. Michael Penix Jr. has been practicing but is not yet ready to return to game action.

In Week 1, Burrow led the Bengals to a victory over the Buccaneers, throwing for 254 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He now faces a Texans team that is coming off a 36-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Olave delivered a standout performance against the Detroit Lions last week, hauling in 10 receptions for 182 yards. Although the Saints suffered a heartbreaking overtime defeat, Olave's individual effort was impressive. He will be a key weapon when New Orleans takes on the Ravens in Baltimore on Sunday.

McMillan is set to make his season debut after missing Week 1 with a knee injury. Hendrickson, who was questionable with a broken finger, will play with a cast on his hand.
