JJ Watt excited for TQL Stadium visit, Graeter's and Montgomery Inn

NFL analyst and former defensive end JJ Watt confirmed via Twitter/X that he will be in attendance when FC Cincinnati hosts historic English football club Burnley FC in an international friendly July 10 at TQL Stadium.

"Cincinnati," Watt tweeted.

"See you Friday night." "I've heard nothing but great things about TQL Stadium (and) about Cincinnati supporters," Watt said in a video that accompanied his tweet.

"I've heard they're a crazy fanbase.

Very much looking forward to seeing it myself." "(I) will not be eating Skyline," Watt added.

"(I've got) a lot of respect for it.

..

I know people love it.

I don't, not for me.

I will be having some Graeter's ice cream.

I will be having some Montgomery Inn barbecue.

And I'm happy to try anything else you Cincinnati folks want to throw my way." When Watt retired after 12 NFL seasons, he and his wife Kealia, who played eight seasons in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), became minority owners of Burnley.

In May 2025, Watt was among those blasting the Bengals over how they handled negotiations with Trey Hendrickson.

The dream of Watt playing for the Bengals ended in March 2025 , as goalkeeper and Bengals fan James Trafford allowed a goal during Burnley's match against Cardiff City.

"I dont like Skyline Chili anyway," Watt tweeted as Trafford's clean-sheet streak ended.

Watt had promised Trafford he'd end his NFL retirement and play for the Bengals if Trafford posted a clean sheet for every Burnley match for the rest of that season.

Watt tweeted photos in February 2025 of a property in Cincinnati, suggesting that he was considering moving to the Queen City, with the caption, "Didn't think we'd make it this far ...." A tweet from Burnley FC included a photo of Watt signing a piece of paper and Trafford holding up a Bengals No.
