Jahan Dotson ready for bigger role with Falcons in 2026

After four NFL seasons split between two organizations, wide receiver Jahan Dotson is hoping a fresh start with the Atlanta Falcons will finally unlock the potential that made him a first-round draft pick.

Dotson signed with Atlanta this offseason after an up-and-down start to his professional career.

While flashes of his playmaking ability have been evident since entering the league in 2022, consistent opportunities have been harder to come by.

Now, he believes joining the Falcons gives him the best chance yet to prove he can be a difference-maker.

I 100 percent believe in my talent and ability to make plays in this league, Dotson said, via The Athletics Josh Kendall.

Its just about getting the opportunity to do so.

I didnt really have that opportunity the past couple years.

Now Im looking to really do that, and I cant wait to make plays for this football team.

Dotson confident Atlanta can revive his NFL career Atlanta is looking to build a more dynamic passing attack, and Dotson could become an important piece of that effort.

His speed, route-running ability and knack for creating separation made him one of college footballs top receivers before entering the NFL, and the Falcons believe those traits can still translate into consistent production.

The change of scenery also comes at an ideal time for the 25-year-old receiver, who is eager to reset his career after falling short of the expectations that accompanied his first-round selection.

With Atlanta featuring a young offense led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr., Dotson has an opportunity to carve out a significant role alongside the Falcons established offensive weapons.

If he earns the trust of the coaching staff during training camp, he could emerge as one of the teams top targets.

For Dotson, the move to Atlanta isnt just another stop in his NFL journeyits a chance to rewrite the narrative surrounding his career.

And if he finally receives the opportunities he believes have been missing, the Falcons may end up with one of the offseasons biggest bargain additions.
