It was revealed he had undergone a successful surgery to repair his isolated lateral collateral ligament (LCL) injury.

Now, Hunter's back and is documenting his recovery journey to get back on the field ahead of the 2026-27 NFL season.

30, 2025, while playing on the defensive side of the ball in practice, ahead of the team's Week 9 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The injury was non-contact.

The Jaguars placed Hunter on injured reserve with a right knee injury Oct.

31, later announcing his successful surgery to repair an isolated lateral collateral ligament (LCL) less than two weeks later.

The procedure was performed by Dr.

Dan Cooper and Jaguars team physician, Dr.

Kevin Kaplan, in Dallas, Texas, according to the team.

Will Travis Hunter play this season? Though Hunter is expected to be a limited participant in on-field activities during the offseason, he should be a full participant on the field by the time training camp begins in late July.

Is Travis Hunter going to play both ways? Yes, the Jaguars are planning for Hunter to play on both sides of the ball.

Hunter had 324 snaps on offense as a wide receiver and 162 on defense as a cornerback last season, according to ESPN.

He averaged 46.2 offensive plays, 23.1 defensive plays and 69.8 plays overall per game.
