Once again, LeBron James is the most prominent name in NBA free agency.
The four-time NBA champion is reportedly considering offers -- and situations -- from at least 10 teams, all of which can give him another chance to win a championship before riding into the sunset.
However, one of his potential options can give him something no one else can: A movie-like career ending.
According to NBA insiders Jake Fischer and Marc Stein, the Cleveland Cavaliers have emerged as the clear-cut favorite to lure him back home to Northeast Ohio.
James has been spotted in Northeast Ohio multiple times over the past week, which has only amplified the notion that he is indeed strongly weighing a third stint with the Cavaliers, the report read.
Then again, this might not be an ordinary trip, according to the insiders.
There's just too much history between James and the Cavs, and it would make the most sense for him, legacy-wise.
Even though it is completely normal for him to return to his home state in the offseason to reconnect with Akron and thus might just be one of those trips, Stein and Fischer added.
Yet there is certainly a growing belief among teams competing for James' signature that the lure of the 41-year-old playing out his final chapter with the team that drafted him compared to, say, early favorites Golden State is looking more and more like the scenario to beat.
Besides the Cavaliers and the Warriors, James is also reportedly considering the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs.
The rest of the league will most likely be on hold while James makes up his mind, with teams agreeing to minor deals and all big fish keeping an eye out on what James decides to do.
His agent, Rich Paul, told teams not to wait for a quick response, as he'll take his time making this decision, knowing this will most likely be his final stop before the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
