The New England Patriots went from being quite thin at wide receiver to having a bit of a logjam at the position.
Trading for A.J.
Brown gave them a blue-chip go-to guy, and Romeo Doubs might be the perfect complement.
As such, and with no new deal on the horizon, Kayshon Boutte may have become the odd man out in Foxborough, and he'd benefit from a trade.
Considering that, and given that Boutte has also talked about wanting a bigger role, NFL insider Albert Breer believes the Patriots could gladly let him go for a fifth-round pick.
I think the plan all along has been to do right by Kayshon Boutte," Breer said.
(H/T Savage Sports) theyve tried to do their best to find a new home for him.
If somebody called with a 5th round pick over draft weekend, hes gone..
I do think eventually hes going to be somewhere else.

pic.twitter.com/8WUPEJUUpt Boutte might not be a star, but he's gotten better with every season, and he can give any team looking for a secondary receiver a reliable chain-mover.
The Washington Commanders might be the perfect destination for him, given that he played with Jayden Daniels at LSU, and they need someone else opposite Terry McLaurin.
The Patriots have way too many mouths to feed, and Brown doesn't like not being the focal point of the offense.
They must do right by their new star and by their former draft pick and just let him go to a place where he can continue to blossom.
