Heat Could Make Another Trade After Giannis Antetokounmpo Deal: Report

The Miami Heat finally made the blockbuster trade the NBA was waiting on for months, as they landed former league MVP and champion Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks.

In that deal, Miami also received forward Bobby Portis from the Bucks and sent forward Javier Jaquez, center Kelel Ware, guard Tyler Herro, and guard Kasparas Jakucioni, along with multiple future picks, and the No.

13 pick in tonight's NBA Draft.

That trade united Giannis with big man Bam Adebayo in Miami, giving the Heat another superstar they believe they can make a championship run with against Eastern Conference Contenders like the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and Detroit Pistons.

However, Miami might not be done making trades, as NBA insiders are speculating on another deal the team could make to further help their roster.

Fischer of The Stein Line reported.

Ahead of any other trades, the Heat have a starting lineup that features point guard Davion Mitchell, shooting guard Norman Powell, and small forward Andrew Wiggins.

Powell led the team in scoring last year with 21.7 points per game and a 47% field goal percentage, but having another option could help.

Jovic was coming off the bench as a reserve, so it's unclear if Miami is looking for another reserve player or trying to find someone who would start.

While Giannis and Bam are both capable of knocking down outside shots, they'll likely do the most damage to opponents in the paint.

The main issue with trading Jovic might be his contract.

He's currently on a four-year, $62.4 million rookie contract extension, which locks him up through the 2029-30 NBA season.

So Miami might need to offer additional pieces of a trade package to find the shooter they're looking for.
