Guardians Stun Rays in ALCS Game 1 Behind Ramirez's Heroics

The Tampa Bay Rays' strategy that worked so well against the New York Yankees in the ALDS appeared to be paying off again in Game 1 of the ALCS. Behind six solid innings from Drew Rasmussen, the Rays held a 2-1 advantage as the game moved to the seventh inning.

However, Patrick Bailey changed the momentum with a leadoff solo homer in the seventh, ending Rasmussen's night and evening the score at 2-2.

Once Rasmussen exited, Cleveland's offense came alive. The Guardians plated two runs in the eighth and added three more in the ninth to claim a 7-3 win at Tropicana Field.

Cleveland supporters have reason to be thrilled with Jose Ramirez, who has been steadily erasing his postseason demons since the Guardians stared down elimination against Chicago.

Since the team fell behind 2-0 in the ALDS, Ramirez has recorded eight hits, two home runs, and eight RBI, including a three-hit, two-run, one-RBI effort in Game 1 against the Rays.

"He's the GOAT," rookie Chase DeLauter, who smashed his first career playoff homer in Game 1, said of his veteran teammate. "He's a Hall of Famer."

The Guardians and Rays will meet again in Game 2 on Tuesday, with Parker Messick set to face Freddy Peralta.

That brings us to today's quiz. In an era where batting average has taken a backseat to power, Ramirez has excelled at both, sitting three homers shy of 300 and having hit above .300 in a full season twice.

With that in mind, can you identify the active players who have hit .300 or better in multiple MLB seasons? Best of luck! Did you enjoy this quiz? Have a quiz idea you'd like to see?
