He clarified that when Hage eventually signs his entry-level contract, it will likely carry a $1.075 million cap hit, including $922,000 in salary and $102,500 in signing and performance bonuses.
Hage would have earned roughly $200,000 in the AHL, but according to DAmico, he is not making that much at Michigan.
Whether you agree with Hages decision to head back to Michigan, money was not a factor.

Hages agent, Pat Brisson , has also explained that the decision was based on several factors.
At just 20 years old, Hage still has plenty of time to develop.
Brisson believes another season in college could help him continue to grow and prepare for the demands of professional hockey.
Players also develop at different speeds, and there is no guarantee that rushing a prospect into the professional ranks is always the best option.
There is also a personal reason behind Hages decision.
His younger brother, Alexander Hage, is set to begin playing at Michigan next season.
That will give the two brothers the opportunity to play together for one season, which was reportedly another factor in Michaels decision.
