Griffin High standout Robert “Bubba” Sullivan commits to Andrew College

GRIFFIN Griffin High School graduate Robert Bubba Sullivan has officially announced his commitment to continue his basketball career at Andrew College.

Known for his toughness, leadership and team-first mentality, Sullivan played an important role in helping Griffin High establish itself as one of the top basketball programs in the region.

Sullivan averaged 16ppg as a senior last season.

The opportunity to continue his playing career at the collegiate level is something Sullivan says he has dreamed about for years.

Im extremely blessed and thankful for this opportunity, Sullivan said.

First and foremost, I want to thank God, my family, my coaches, teammates and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey.

Andrew College felt like the right place for me, he continued.

Im excited to continue growing as a player, student, and person.

This is just the beginning, and Im ready to get to work.

Sullivans commitment also serves as another example of the success Griffin Highs basketball program has enjoyed under head coach Oscar Moore.

The Bears have consistently developed players capable of competing at the next level while building a culture centered on discipline, accountability and hard work.

Moore praised Sullivans character and commitment, saying the opportunity is well deserved.

Bubba has earned everything thats coming his way, Moore said.

Hes the type of young man every coach wants in their program.

He works hard, he puts the team first, and hes a tremendous leader.

What people see on game nights is only a small part of the work he puts in behind the scenes.

Andrew College is getting a player who will represent their program the right way every single day.

Throughout his time at Griffin High, Sullivan earned the respect of teammates and coaches through his willingness to do whatever was necessary to help the team succeed.

Whether scoring, defending, rebounding or providing leadership, he consistently embraced his role and set a positive example for younger players.

His commitment continues a strong tradition of Griffin High athletes moving on to compete at the collegiate level and reflects the growth of the Bears basketball program under Moores leadership.

Now, the focus shifts to Andrew College, where Sullivan will have the opportunity to continue developing his game while pursuing both athletic and academic success.

For Griffin High, it is another proud moment as one of its own takes the next step toward achieving his dreams..
