Xavier Sabb is an Oregon Duck.
Surrounded by family and friends, the Glassboro High School star and rising senior made the announcement he would be attending the University of Oregon on Friday during an event at Landmark Americana in town.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Sabb, a five-star recruit regarded as one of the top players in the country, received over 50 college offers and had recently narrowed his choices down to Oregon, Tennessee, UCLA and LSU.
He chose to make Eugene, Oregon his next home after he made an official visit on June 19.
I felt (Oregon) was the best fit for me and my family as well as the best chance to win a national championship," Sabb said.
"(Oregon fans) can expect a lot of energy, a lot of big plays (from me)." Sabb is coming off another standout season when he was named New Jersey's Gatorade Player of the Year for the two-time state champion Bulldogs, who have won a state-best 27 straight games.
He also earned a spot on the USA TODAY New Jersey All-State team for a second straight season.
Last fall, Sabb recorded four interceptions, raising his career total to 13.
On offense, he also finished with 59 catches for 897 yards and 13 TDs, plus two scores on special teams.
Sabb has 2,348 receiving yards and 44 total touchdowns in his career.
Sabb is ranked No.

Other rankings sites had Sabb at No.

Sabb's athleticism also carried over the basketball, where he's a 1,000-point scorer in three seasons along with track and field where he was a New Balance Nationals qualifier in the 100-meter dash and high jump.
Xavier's older brothers, Keon and Amari, are both part of the Alabama football program.
Amari, who is a 2026 graduate Glassboro, chose the Crimson Tide in February.
