After years of back-and-forth and speculation, Giannis Antetokounmpo finally left the Milwaukee Bucks.
The former Finals MVP has taken his talents to South Beach, following in LeBron James' footsteps.
However, it looks like he doesn't want to just follow James' previous steps.
Instead, he'd rather team up with the four-time NBA champion in sunny Florida.
During a streaming session with N3on, the Greek superstar subtly praised James.
The person I like to watch a lot is LeBron James.
I like to watch him, Antetokounmpo said during the livestream.
N3on then reminded him that James is currently a free agent, and Antetokounmpo's reaction spoke volumes.
The Heat are reportedly one of the teams in contention to sign James for what will most likely be his final stop.
He won two championships there after the now-infamous "Decision," and he'll likely have his jersey retired and a statue outside of the arena.
Then again, things reportedly didn't end well between him, Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra, so a homecoming of sorts would be a bit awkward.
Of course, they're all winners and relentless competitors, so they would probably just bury the hatchet and let bygones be bygones for a common goal.
Antetokounmpo knows James' situation pretty well, and those comments were quite intentional.
Whether the former Los Angeles Lakers star will listen and team up with him in Miami remains to be seen, but it's certainly an appealing thought.
