From Syracuse to the NFL and the MLB, Julianna Finnertys artwork can be seen on some of the biggest stages in sports.
What started as a hobby after seeing Spider-Man: Far From Home, quickly became her business, Finn's customs.
I just wanted a pair of shoes that had Spider-Man and Mysterio on them, Finnerty said.
So, I went to the mall and bought a pair of shoes and painted them and shared it on social media.
I had some friends and family reach out.
The more I posted on social media, I had people from the internet reach out for shoes."She made the switch from just sneakers to doing cleats while she was a catching coach for Herkimer College softball.
A comment on the New York Yankees TikTok page catapulted Finn's customs into what it is now."I asked whoever ran the account if I could make them a pair of shoes, Finnerty said.
The Yankees liked my comment, and then I got a message from their social media manager the next morning about making a pair of shoes for their social media.
Once that was posted, the guy I work with now, Anthony De Lucia from Lucia custom footwear, reached out to me.
Now he ships me cleats, and I send them to athletes all over the world."You can see Finnertys work all around the MLB, from Anthony Rizzo to Gleyber Torres.
She's even done work for NFL stars Micah Parsons and Brock Purdy.
While it was initially unexpected, she said she's proud to see her work on some of the biggest stages in sports. As a baseball fan, it's so much fun, Finnerty said.
I watch every single Yankees game every single day.
It's just fun to watch games and being able to see these guys wearing the cleats that I have painted.".
