As she moves forward to her next adventure, Sarah Digiallonardo can rest assured that her years at Millennium High will be memorable, not just for her but for future generations of Falcons.
At her signing ceremony to accept an athletic scholarship at Westminster University on June 10, Millennium High Athletic Director Drew Reyes said that after her last two seasons it was clear that Digiallonardo is the all-time leading scorer and rebounder for both girls and boys basketball teams in the more than two decades of athletics at Millennium High.
Her total of 1,076 points over 4 years includes 354 points this year and 362 last year, with similar numbers for rebounds: 364 this year and 384 last year for a total of 1,190 rebounds.[BB1.1] She closed out her years at Millennium High as the Female Athlete of the Year for the Class of 2026, with accolades including the Sac-Joaquin Sections A.
Dale Lacky Student-Athlete Award and the Central California Athletic Associations Most Outstanding Player for the 2025-26 basketball season as her team finished as CCAA co-champion.
She was also the quarterback for the past 2 years for the Lady Falcons flag football team, twice leading her team to the playoffs.
She can add to all of that her status as the first Millennium athlete to land an NCAA Division 2 scholarship.
Millennium girls basketball coach Joe Reyes said he contacted 27 colleges, knowing that the leap from high school to college basketball is a big one, with fewer than 1% advancing to NCAA Division 1 or Division 2.
When it was when time to sign on to the dotted line she did everything she had promised, Joe Reyes said.
Digiallonardo said that after she made contact with Griffins Coach Lynette Schroeder she found her next home at Westminster.
She reached out to me and just asked me if I was interested in looking into the school, Digiallonardo said.
She sent me the information and I went out and visited a few days ago.
It's very nice campus.
Its a small school, about 10 to 15 minutes from downtown.
She will play center forward for the Griffins team while studying nursing at Westminster.
Digiallonardo started playing basketball 6 years ago for the Tracy Kweens and also played at Freiler School before arriving at Millennium High, which she enjoyed for the smaller campus and the chance to connect with teachers and other students.
Now she looks forward to meeting people and making new connections at the next level.
As an athlete I'm definitely going to get to grow and have a little bit more responsibility, which is really important to me.
