According to BasketNews, former Charlotte Hornets forward Jalen McDaniels has signed a one-year deal with the Kobe Storks of the Japanese B League. The 28-year-old will join a roster featuring former UNC Tar Heel Luke Maye and Allen Hachimura, the younger brother of Los Angeles Clippers forward Rui Hachimura.
McDaniels played six seasons in the NBA, three and a half of which were with the Hornets. His best campaign came in 2022-23, when he averaged 10.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, two assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.5 blocks across 54 games for Charlotte before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers midseason. He later appeared in 54 more games for the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards, with his final NBA stint coming on a 10-day contract near the end of the 2024-25 season.
